Open Question: would i violate probation if i appear in front of a judge for a $1500.00 warrant?

so the full details are - about a couple years ago i was pulled over by ORANGE COUNTY for going about 100mph on the freeway and i was ordered a mandatory appearance in court and i missed that court date. than about a couple months later i was arrested by LOS ANGELES COUNTY for something else and I did about 8 months in jail and was released on 3 year probation with a 3 year joint suspension. after my release i contacted the DMV to recover my drivers license and was told to contact orange county, where orange county told me because i missed the mandatory appearance so they issued a 1500.00 dollar warrant against me. so i have a few questions here: 1) if i appear in front of the judge will i violate my current probation? 2) how come this warrant didn't pop up during my time in jail? that way i can do my time consecutively with the warrant and my initial crime i was placed in jail for. 3) should i let my probation officer know about this? i'm afraid of what might happen if i let him know.

Open Question: Help for essay regarding Police Agencies?

The question is.. Should Law Enforcement Agencies such as LAPD allow their graduating cadets to go straight into patrol? As opposed to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department, where they go into the jails or courts prior to going to patrol.
