Open Question: what are the most worthy tourist spots in LA?

I'm gonna visit Los Angeles in May for 4 days, I'm gonna stay downtown and I'd like to know what are the most entertaining things I can do there? Specially in Korea Town? I'm attending a concert to the Hollywood Bowl and I have previously visited The Grove and Macy's Plaza, Little Tokyo and Korea Town Plaza. I pretend to visit the fashion district on the last friday of April... but I don't know if it's safe? Do they sell everything in the fashion district as a wholesale?

Open Question: What airline was stopped from flying to Mexico City?

A number of years ago this was on the news, a certain Eastern-Asian airline was stopped from flying to Mexico City via Los Angeles when the two main carriers in Mexico, Aeromexico and Mexicana, asked lawmakers in that country to pass a bill banning aircraft of a certain capacity to fly to Mexico coming from another country other than the U.S., effectively killing that airline's new route. Currently, at least, Korea Air flies to Sao Paolo from Seoul with a stop-over in Los Angeles with accesible fares. The airlines that come to mind are Malaysia Airlines and Singapore Airlines, but I'm not sure. I posted this question in Yahoo Answers Mexico but it was deleted everytime that I posted it, which seems very suspicious to me.

Open Question: Can someone help me about the Freedom of Religion and Conscience in Canadian Constitution 1982?

This is a fact-pattern: Mr. Smith has moved to Toronto. He is part of a new religious group that has recently been founded in Los Angeles. This group was founded in response to the celebrity culture of southern California government identification cards. They also believe that being photographed is corrupting and will therefore not consent being photographed under any circumstances. As part of his legitimately held religious beliefs, Mr. Smith has challenged the requirement that he be photographed and carry a driver's license in order to drive his car. The Ontario Superior Court has agreed that the requirement of a picture is an unconstitutional violation of his religious freedom, but has held that the requirement that he carry his driver's license with him to drive is not. Both parties are cross-appealing this decision. I am siding with the Ontario Superior Court's decision about Mr. Smith needing a driver's license to drive regardless of his religious aspects. I referenced some cases such as R. v. Big Drug Mart 1985, R. v. Robertson and Rosetanni 1963, and the Lord's Day Act 1905. I am thinking about B.(R.) v. Children's Aid Society 1995, as well. I feel as though I am interpreting my work to Mr. Smith's appeal =__= ;;;

Open Question: In Los Angeles, should I take a taxi or public transportation?

I'm going to visit Los Angeles in the next few weeks and I'm debating the best way to get around. I like using public transit where I live (buses, trains) and am very comfortable with it, yet I'm reading about how unreliable the system in L.A. is. I am thinking about just paying for a cab, even though it will be pricey. My chief concern is time. If I need to get from LAX to Downtown, what can I expect from each mode? Leaving from LAX would be between 4-5 pm. And what about how "bad" or "dangerous" certain areas (e.g. Inglewood, Lennox, Westmont) are? I can take care of myself, but I can do without any potential attacks while waiting at a bus stop (am I being paranoid?). Appreciate all advice!

Open Question: Cell phone ! Where can I get a cheap solution?

I want a cheap cell phone solution... I need a new handset with GPS on it to help me drive around to locations...GPS is essential (I considered buying a stand-alone GPS system from Garmin etc. but think its more cost effective to get one on a cell) At the moment I have a very basic T-mobile 'go' phone (i.e. no contract and i pay for every minute i use)...and the handset is old and needs replacing. I'm in Los Angeles. I won't be making hardly any outgoing calls on it at all...maybe 5 a month. And the only surfing I will do is looking up driving locations on Google maps... Can you suggest a dirt-cheap solution for me?
