Open Question: Why are americans so ignorant about the Middle East?You would think they would educate themselves about a region where the greatest religions of the world emerged. Zoroastrianism, Judiasm, Christinaity, and Islam. Jesus Christ himself was middle eastern!!! So why would they not educate themselves about that region. Like for example NOT ALL MIDDLE easterns ARE MUSLIM. My lebaonese friend is CATHOLIC and half of Lebonan is Cahtolic. Half of the persians living in Los Angeles are JEWISH...yes jewish. HELOOO and stop watching so much TV and READ, edcuate yourself, take a class on the Middle East in College. I don't know, but I hate ignorant people. I'm glad I'm friends with so many different nationalties and have studied so many cultures. It makes me feel so much more knowledgable about the world. Open Question: Can anyone give me advice on cross-country movers?I have friends who are moving from New York to the Los Angeles area and I'm trying to help get them some good advice. I read through some of the already-asked Qs on here, and some were obvious set-ups to promote businesses. I would really like the advice of people who truly have experience in this area. As I have plenty of guesses myself, that won't help. I done a lot of research online already, but don't always trust what I read. My friends are moving the equivalent of a 2-3 BR apartment, with lots of small pieces of furniture, one bed, no big appliances, no couch or stuffed chairs. I'm really wondering what the lowest price range one might reasonably expect from a certified moving company might be. I see lots of cheap quotes advertised online but I don't trust those companies and they seem to have bad raps. My friends are undergoing a lot of stress and I'm trying to help but doing some of the leg work and research for them. Secondly, I was wondering in anyone has used U-Pack -- where you pack it and they drive it. If so, how much cheaper is this? How did it work out? I'd really appreciate any help. Thanks!
