Open Question: Is "Phlying Saucer" a stupid band name? Open Question: Is "Phlying Saucer" a stupid band name?I am the lead singer/guitarist for a popular rock band in Hollywood, CA. The bass player in our band has begun to dislike our name, but our record label and manager like it. The bass player is threatening to quit the band over the name. Is this ridiculous or is it a stupid name? Please let me know. We have had alot of success in Los Angeles and are probably going to sign a major-label deal within the next month. What's in a name?
