Opinions?I am 36 yrs. old and have almost given up in the dating scene here in California. I have no problem finding women, the problem is I don't agree with the cultural differences there are between hispanics and white when it comes to family values (especially those of mexicans). I been living in the USA now over 30 years. I am seriously contemplating quitting my job and leaving school for a semester to travel and find a life long partner outside the USA. Please help me! I need someone's opinion seriously. Please no smart remarks. I been hurt and have also hurt people myself in the past, but I keep having this problem that American women just don't value feelings more than material things anymore. I have some money saved up and the school I go to has a policy where you can be off for one or two semesters and then comeback with no problems. I would have to find a new job, but I also cannot focus anymore in school and regret not marrying earlier because I have no one to grow together with and experience the nice things I been experiencing in my life. I am happy with my life, but I somehow feel a little empty. I think that if I postpone school, it's no problem. If I quit my job I can always find another one. I don't want to have kids and see them reach puberty when I'm in my late 60's. I'd like to be able to be a little young to be active with them. I keep falling behind in school thinking about this a lot. I love my job and school, but I leave on my own and miss my brother and sisters back in Los Angeles also. I hate LA, but I love my family very much. If I leave my job, I can always move with my parents until I get back on my feet again. I know some of you may not agree to be in my late thirties, married, and living with my family. But is either that, or go through more years alone, waiting to see when I can focus in school, and wait until I'm 40 to find someone. I'm trying to make school my priority, but I can't help but feel a little empty everytime I hug my little nephews. So far I have noticed people saying I have a problem with procrastination and to stay in school. I thank those that have posted so far, but I must say that I did not procrastinate to finish. I also did struggle with financial problems which I had not learned my lesson for before and placed other people before me. Now, I am willing to focus in school and even live in another country until I get to know someone. If it takes more than a year, so be it. My math I don't think is off in having kids, because I only have my upper division courses to finish which could take me about two more years to finish if I could focus. Then, I would live to have a couple of kids before I turn 41. This way, they would reach 20 when I'm still in my early 60's, not late 60's. Please keep those suggestions coming. Thank you very much!
