Open Question: Im looking for the next Police car auction somwhere in the los angeles area, anyone know whens the next one?I heard you could get some good deals at the police auctions...whens the next one? somehwere in the los angeles area Open Question: Parking For Work In California? Was just wondering, how do businesses in say Los Angeles deal with the parking for their employees? If you're working for a place such as Starbucks and it's in a downtown area, more often than not they won't have regular parking lots but meters and lots where you have to pay for the entire day or by hour. So do places like these validate your parking if you're employed with them or what? Would seem like such a ripoff to be making $8 or $9 an hour but then have to pay $8+ every day just because they want to rip people off by making them pay a boatload for parking. Open Question: When Europe Accepts Gay Marriage, won't the Vatican have to as well, practically speaking?Gay marriage looks like it will become inevitable in Europe. And the way the European Union is set up, once a majority accepts something, like abolishing the death penalty, or gun control, that becomes the Law. So even Holdouts like the Republic of Ireland will be forced to, eventually, accept gay marriage or face problems in the European Court of Human Rights. That being the case, can the Vatican, as a practical matter, tell Gays to never have sex, if every country in Europe permits gay marriage? Due to the child molestation lawsuits the three money makers in America no longer send any noticeable amounts of money to the Vatican (Archdioceses of Los Angeles, Chicago, and New York, were traditionally the only places in North or South America that sent over a million dollars to Rome.) Right now, the only places actually sending multi million dollar amounts to Rome are Germany, France, and Belgium, and they will all be accepting gay marriage very soon. Can the Vatican afford to tell 80% of its financial support that they are wrong? Roddy. Yes they do. They call it annulment. Universal Aardvark Well, no it can't. Not if it actually wants to have some money. John: Surveys from 1985? Ha ha ha ha ha! 25 years ago? What a riot! Open Question: Where can I go to be with other Atheist?Besides hell. I have been involved in my Church for so long, I need to be around like minded people now that I am a non-believer. Somewhere near Los Angeles. Unfortunately, I go to a fundamentalist Christian University and I am in my final semester. I'm trapped for 2 months. I feel like I have waisted the last four years learning about Christianity, when I could have been studying more intense topics. More Recent Articles
