I don't know about your area, but in the Los Angeles area, the Superior Court is way to desperate. I know someone who doesn't even qualify, but they send her another summon (she was denied) forcing her to go. She doesn't understand English well enough to be a juror. She's to slow to comprehend what will be said at a trial, I know. But I don't think they care. Just think if you ever have to go to court, and your life is on the line, these are the kind of people they select for jury duty. People who admit that they are not qualified, and yet still are forced into jury duty.
