Open Question: We are moving to Los Angeles.....?

Hey! My family is trying to look for homes in the Los Angeles area. We don't know too much about the safer neighborhoods and things like that. We do have kids and want them to go to a great school in the LAUSD but we also don't know which one that is. Please give me all the information I need in order to make sure we move into the right home. Thanks!
