Open Question: is any ones text messaging not working on metro pcs in los angeles this morning?Open Question: Los Angeles Recording Studio?Where can I find a inexpensive recording studio for my family to record a song just for fun. Open Question: Music High Schools?? Help please!!!!?Hello!! i'm italian so sorry if my english is not perfect... I'm a the last year of the secondary school (8th Grade) and in the second year of high school i want to come to study in USA. I'm searching a music high school (I do not know if you say so) maybe in New York or Los Angeles...I do not know what might be school like thats but a school life "fame" would be perfect!! I don't know the schools they so i need help!! the language is not a big problem for me...so help me please!! I need a big help!! Open Question: Why has my background placed me on some kind of "He can never be hired again" list. Cause it seems like it.?I'm an Intelligent young guy who, I'm not ashamed to say, doesn't carry himself nor thinks like some street rat just because my background says so. I have some really good experience under my belt as a scheduler and client rep for post production company's and even tested mobile phone applications. I don't even get a response for the thousands of 10 an hour customer support positions I apply for. I've been on four interviews in two weeks and if they don't ignore me completely afterwards, they finally say, " uhhh...yeah we've filled that position" after I've called them back a couple of times. 10 years ago this never happened! I am in no way a threat to anyone. I've got to be able to make a living!!! I think the fears of terrorism and the emigration issues have created this heightened fear that's made it so that people with backgrounds (especially black males i feel) are being forced to take jobs they cant actually live on. Unfortunately I don't have the time to go to school right now to make myself more marketable because of my current pressing responsibilities. At this point in my life I'm really not one for excuses and this whole background thing is shaping up to be one but I need to work! And at the age of 35 and living in Los Angeles, realistically, anything under 10$ and I'll have to live in a shelter just to save a few hundred a month. Could this be by design. Is this a way to destroy the middle class so that there's becomes a society of only the wealthy and impoverished? Whats going on here that someone who wants a job in America cant get one. Somethings up. Not trying to say its about race. My question was about my background for those who felt that was my emphasis. Its not. I mentioned it not happening 10 years ago but seems to now I was refering to background not race. I stated briefly that it seems that black males are being turned away more and you know what some might say statistics would suppport that but that was still not my focus. And its true, perhaps 35 isn't exactly young to employers and there should be no excuses to not furthering ones education to be competetively marketable. My resume seems to get me the interview (even lacking the collegiate accolades) but when it comes to the background check, that great interview is out the window no matter what. Someone commented about the number of applicants per posting these days and I didn't think it to be so but it puts things in perspective and your advice was encouraging. More Recent Articles
